FOR TEACHERS, LIBRARIANS & FAMILY GROUPS

A little drawing time, ready to share.

Four original companion worksheets from The Not So Scary book website. Print the page that fits your group, bring pencils or crayons and make room for each child’s own ideas.

Download the free four-page pack

No account, email address or book purchase required. Suggested for ages 3–6 with an adult.

What is in the pack?

  1. My cosy corner

Choose a favourite comfort, then draw someone to sit with and a cosy corner of your own. Print page 1.

  2. My school questions

Make room for curiosity: draw something you wonder about and choose a grown-up to ask. Print page 2.

  3. Memories to take with me

Draw a memory, something familiar to take and an idea for your new home. Print page 3.

  4. My question for the dentist

Draw or tell a grown-up what you would like to ask, and take your question along. Print page 4.

A simple ten-minute session

Use the timings as a loose guide. Some children will want longer; others may prefer to watch, make a few marks or pass.

  1. Begin together — about two minutes. Introduce one sheet and read the first prompt aloud. If you already have the companion book, you could refer to a moment you have read together; the activity also stands alone.
  2. Draw or talk — about six minutes. Offer pencils and enough space. Children can draw, dictate words to an adult or choose just one box. Avoid asking them to share a personal worry in front of the group.
  3. Finish — about two minutes. Invite anyone who wants to show a colour, shape or idea. Sharing is optional. Let children take the sheet home if appropriate for your setting.

Printing and reuse

The pack is A4. For US Letter, choose “Fit to page” in the print dialogue. Select a single page number to print one activity, or print all four. The worksheets use simple outlines with plenty of white space.

You may print copies for free home, classroom or library activities. Please keep the website credit on the sheet. Linking to this page helps other families find the current version.

The activities are conversation and drawing prompts, not assessed lessons or a therapeutic programme. They make no claim to meet a particular curriculum or produce a particular outcome.
