My first-flight explorer sheet
Preston is taking his first flight with Mum and his bear. Before a journey, use this explorer sheet to collect your child’s questions and ideas without needing to know every detail of the trip.
Suggested for ages 3–6 with a grown-up · about ten minutes · paper and pencils. Print the sheet below, or copy the prompts onto plain paper. In your browser’s print options, turn off headers and footers.
Try it together
- Invite your child to draw a familiar comfort they would like to take. A grown-up can check what is practical for the journey.
- Ask what they wonder about flying. Draw the question or write it in their own words, ready to find out together.
- Imagine a view from above the clouds. Their picture can be real or invented; no particular view is promised.
